The Boyan Vodenitcharov - Steve Houben duo remain true to their artistic approach, exploring the fine line between jazz and classical contemporary music that was revealed on their first album, “Les Valses” (Mogno 2003). Their respective experience in these different domains naturally pushed them towards this approach, particularly as cultural blends are often more fruitful than purism. Without deforming the idiomatic coherence of the music they use, they seek out free, creative expression that is nourished not only by a purely formal interest but also by emotion, which is rooted in their long-standing friendship.

"Fantasy, when it is fortified and lasts any length of time, grows organs, principles, laws, forms, etc. It develops ways to prolong and take care of itself. Improvisation acts in concert, the impromptu becomes organised, as nothing can stay, nothing can assert itself and survive an instant unless what is needed to add up these moments can take place."
Paul Valéry

"(...) a beautiful, touching encounter (...) full of inventiveness, improvisation, fantasy and freedom." LE SOIR, J-C Vantroyen.

"(...) music a thousand miles from the rehashed clichés on the airwaves and that we discover with all the more pleasure." VERS L'AVENIR, JP Goffin.
