Jean-Paul Estiévenart collaborates in several and different musical projects:
- Trip-hop: Agent 5.1;
- World music: Kinch;
- Jazz-rock: The Wrong Object (with Elton Dean et Harry Beckett);
- Jazz (big ensemble): Jazzy Jazz Band, Brussels Little Big Band, Music Village Big Band, Free Breathing Ensemble, Jazzstation Big Band;
- Jazz (combo): Michael Blass Trio, Fabrizio Graceffa Quartet, Bimini Quartet, New Groove Sextet, Mirages, No Vibrato, Al Orkesta, Collapse, D’antoin, t-unit7.
Concerning the jazz festivals, he appears in Frameries Jazz, Bruxelles Jazz Marathon, Jazz en scène (France/ Luxembourg/ Belgium); Jazz Terrassa (Espagne)...just to quote few.
In 2004-2005, Jean-Paul Estiévenart carries out in a quintet We remember Woody Shaw. The jazzmen who take on in this tribute are: Fred Delplancq (saxophone), Sabin Todorov (piano), Chris Mentens (double bass) and Kris Duerinckx (drums).
Nowadays, his own project is: 4in1, a group with Lorenzo Di Maio (guitar), Sam Gerstmans (double bass) and Toon Van Dionant (drums). Together, they are devoted to the common exploration of modern jazz and play a dynamic and vigorous repertoire that increases constantly as they include more and more original compositions.
