Jazz guitar players must have felt quite lonely some years ago. Jazz stars were rather saxophone players and guitar stars were mostly rockers. Of course, Paolo Radoni may occasionally play some wild rock and blues with that kind of friends. But not here. In this recording, Paolo clearly makes us feel that jazz is not a matter of instrument, but a matter of music. He is not a “led” guitarist, led by the guitar, nor by his fingers on the axe. Freeing himself from style and technical restraints, with a care for details that should charm specia- lists, his music provides a feeling of serenity enjoyable by everybody musicians or casual jazz listeners alike.
