The “carte blanche” proposed by Igloo gave us “Oscar”, a superb creation such as he has the knack of making. The qualities which have made his reputation are all gathered here, and magnified: beautiful melodies, particularly well thought out harmonies and fabulous tones. The double-bassist Hein Van de Geyn is amazingly musical, strong and sensuous and the drummer Dré Pallemaerts, keeps close to the outlines and brings vigorous colour strokes to the many scenes.
