Aleph Quintet feature five young talented musicians, notably Wajdi Riahi, the young virtuoso pianist, avant-garde of the Belgian jazz scene. Awarded at the “Journées Musicales de Carthage” in Tunisia as well as the « Musical Press Price » “Shapes of Silence”, a first album welcomes two prestigious guests from the European jazz scene: Manuel Hermia (Hermia–Ceccaldi-Darfour) and Fabrizio Cassol (Aka Moon). It reveals their roots and strong influences by North African music mixed with jazz improvisation, Gnawa rhythms and Sufi culture.
