Born in Rio de Janeiro, Márcia Maria is “carioca”. Márcia Maria begins its professional career in 1968 in its birthplace. After having occurred in various clubs, theatres and round in the capitals of Brazil, Marcia is essential rather quickly like one of the des personality, most important of the country.
In its career, some musicians famous like the guitarist Manuel da Conceição, the saxophonist Pixinguinha, Abel Ferreira clarinettist, Hermeto Pascoal, Waldir Azevedo cavaquinho, le creator of « Brasileirinho », Altamiro Carilho flute, Luis Carlos Vinhas pianist and others, on accompanied Márcia.

In the Nineties it continues its career with the recording in Belgium of its CD “Passion” with the famous Belgian musicians Eric Legnini, Bruno Castelucci and Jean Louis Rassinfosse like his large friend the famous Brazilian guitarist Toninho Horta.
