With Maxime Bender on saxophone and Laurent Payfert on double bass, this powerhouse trio offers up a new repertoire of tightly arranged and structured tracks (“Journey to the Bliss”, “Layer Cake”) as well as vibrant improvisations (“Melancholy”, “Euphoria”) and free (“Wind”) in addition to a surprising cover of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World”.
