A record on sound, on the semantic shift from noise to music and from music to something beyond sound: “silence”. It is an experience, a search to be taken in its most open, least restrictive sense. It is also the work of a loner, philosopher and psychologist, a jazz musician (saxophone and percussion), a lover of the great outdoors who was fond of playing with meaning. The nine tracks on this record use vocals, magnetic tape and acoustic instruments. Henry Krutzen studied at various schools in Belgium. He also plays the harmonica, the recorder, the piano, keyboards and ethnic instruments (reita, balafon,
ken, shanai…). He has taken part in many musical projects: jazz, new wave, heavy metal, experimental, French chanson, world music and progressive rock bands. In 2001 he moved to Brazil where he now lives in João Pessoa, on the northeast coast.
