Nine musicians ranging from classical to jazz and Afro-Cuban style formed the ensemble in 1983. Their repertoire is made up of original pieces, brilliant and well thought out, largely influenced by the musical currents which the Combo Belge members hold dear: the band music of the 20’s & 30’s, latin music, some classical tinges: but also a taste for the sound of days gone by, which can probably be accounted for by the choice of instruments.
