Pianist, composer and teacher in Belgium, Jean-Louis Robert, born in 1948 in Haine-Saint-Pierre (Hainaut), died in May 1979 in a car accident. He has tried to significantly change the relationship between the composer, the performer and audience.

He is, in October 1971, one of the first enrolled in the composition class that just opened by henri Pousseur. He worked on his own composition and contributed to the achievement of Henri Pousseur works that he has no time to make himself (Quatrième Vue sur les jardins interdits and Parade de Votre Faust in 1974) and he take from his master’s taste for “mobile” form, which allows multiple readings, several possible, and include, where appropriate, the audience in its course.
