Yannick Peeters started by playing classical piano. At 16, she picked up the double bass and started playing jazz. She attended several workshops in Dworp , followed by a spell at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen under Piet Verbiest, Gulli Gudmundsson and Anders Jormin.
She plays in various groups – including the trio of Steven Delannoye, the quartet of Teun Verbruggen, Anoo. – and other projects with a rock feel.
