After a gap of several years, Maurane is stepping back into the jazz fold with two of her oldest sparring partners: Charles Loos and Steve Houben. The two jazzmen have always favoured the intimacy of working in duos or trios that offer the opportunity to better know and surprise each other. In 84, Maurane joined them in what was one of the most surprising trios: reeds, keyboards and a voice used as an instrument, leaving plenty of room for the improvisation that is one of her hallmarks. In 1986, they recorded the little gem that is the album "HLM".

For some time, they had been trying to record some new material, which is now a reality! So almost 20 years later, HLM is back on the road with a new album, "Un ange passe" (an angel passes), reuniting the many talents of these three exceptional artists with a selection of new compositions. No texts, no "songs", but an unequalled voice – Maurane – that takes flight over the rhythms and notes offered by her two accomplices. Today, the trio is joined on stage and on record by the guitars of Patrick Deltenre and Kathy Adam's string quintet.

The magic, complicity and wonder are still there, to be discovered or re-discovered!
