Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, renowned bass player, has accompanied many jazz stars of the World: Philly Joe Jones, Clifford Jordan, Pepper Adams, George Coleman, Joe Lovano and especially during a period of ten years, Chet Baker for many tours in Europe, 6 CDs, including 4 in trio with Philip Catherine.
Major figure of European jazz, highly requested sideman, we can appreciate his lyricism and his "tellurique" (in french on the text) bass sound on more of hundred CDs.
"Crossworlds", recorded under his name brings together its two key groups: L'Ame des Poètes and the quintet of Klaus Ignatzek. On the other hand, his comic talents are showcased in a show parody "The Reliquary of the Brave," and his collaboration in writing the last two performances of "Framboise Frivole" (Molière 2004).
In Belgium, professor at the Conservatory of Brussels, he is an emblematic figure of the double bass and jazz education.
