Gilles was born in Saint-Denis and grew up in L’Île-Saint-Denis (a northern suburb of Paris). He sings and plays the recorder and flute which he studied at the Conservatory of Gennevilliers. From Spanish Basque music (Spain 2000) to jazz with Zajco (Paris 2001), Gilles has written and played for dance, theatre and slam. In 2000, he was awarded the first prize at the National Flamenco Competition in Madrid. He has accompanied the French slammer Grand Corps Malade from the early days. In 2006, Gilles wrote and directed the show “Dinosaures” (music, slam and dance). He is currently wearing down his pretty shoes in Brussels and had his first thrill in front of a painting by Fernand Léger.
