Lynn Cassiers is a Belgian singer who performs on the new jazz and improvised music scene in Europe.
She is known for her dreamlike singing style and the unique way she combines her voice with electronics
in a multitude of musical contexts.

Her music is rooted in improvisation and draws inspiration from a wide variety of styles, ranging from jazz to pop,
through rock, noise, folk and ambient. She has released numerous records which have been acclaimed by the international
press, notably with her projects YUN, Lilly Joel, Tape Cuts Tape and Holsen & Cassiers.

In addition to her own projects, Lynn has worked since 2005 with renowned contemporary jazz ensembles, such as Octurn,
Lidlboj, The Brussels Jazz Orchestra, MÄÂK, Airelle Besson Quartet, Oba Loba, Sylvaine Hélary & ‘The Incandescent Orchestra,
Oriol Roca Trio, Alexandra Grimal ‘Naga’, etc…

Lynn was born near Antwerp where she began her studies of classical music and jazz at the age of 14.
She continued her studies in the Netherlands where she obtained her vocal jazz diploma at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in 2006.

Since 2008 she has taught jazz singing at the LUCA School of Arts in Louvain. In addition to her artistic projects and teaching,
she has composed music for theater, silent films and live screenings and has performed around the world
with artists such as: Marshall Allen, Marc Ducret, Toshimaru Nakamura, Leon Parker, Nelson Veras, Theo Ceccaldi Akira Sakata,
Vincent Glowinski ‘Bonom’, and many others.
