The fertile inspiration of composer and guitarist Greg Lamy is now more than ever being revealed by his recent work with bassist Gautier Laurent, saxophonist Johannes Müller and drummer Jean-Marc Robin – a musical complicity that has lasted ten years. The quartet’s tours have been following one another at a frantic pace. Lamy’s beautiful, spontaneous music has been travelling from Luxembourg to the birthplace of bossa nova and the stages of numerous clubs and festivals in Europe and New York. In 2016, music:LX hailed him as best export artist in the jazz category. The album “Meeting”, released in 2013 by Igloo Records met with a frank success in Europe. It is being followed in 2017 by a new release from the quartet: “Press Enter”.
